Our Senior High Fellowship group called FISH meets every Wednesday at 7:00pm in Fellowship Hall beginning September 14th to June. At FISH the youth have a place where they can be themselves and grow in their faith. Recognizing the pressures they face and the high energy they have there is always time to shoot hoops in the gym and catch up with friends. FISHIN’ TRIPS happen once a month, the youth go to Blackbeard’s, bowling, Pizza Prom and more. They also have two retreats: one in the fall and another in the winter. The FISH Wintercamp retreat at Lake Champion is scheduled for Friday, January 20th through Sunday, January 22nd.
Our Youth are an integral part of our church family. One of the ways our youth serve is by becoming a Youth Deacon. Youth Deacons assist in ushering at one of our worship services. Another way they serve is during Youth Week. Youth Week is a very special time for our church for during that week members of the Senior High group take over the church. They assume the roles of ministers and staff. The week is great for youth and the entire congregation.
In the summer our Youth put their faith into action. This summer our Senior Highs traveled to Accident, Maryland to work on repairing and painting homes and connecting with people in need.
