The Youth Commission is excited to announce these new trips for Summer 2017! With these new trips our goal has been to find opportunities for students to connect with each other, grow in their faith, and discover ways that they can serve others in meaningful ways. Another goal that we have working towards for the past several years is to be able to include our Rising 6th Graders on our CAST Jr High Trips and our Rising 9th Graders on our FISH High School Trips. This change will allow students to connect with the group and form friendship that will feed into our School-Year Program.
We are looking forward to these exciting new opportunities for our students and hope that you will consider making a difference in the lives of our students by joining us as a leader. As with all of our youth trips and events, if the cost is an issue, we have scholarships available!

FISH High School Mission Trip – Joni & Friends
June 25-June 30, 2017, Cost: $500
Joni & Friends is a unique ministry focused on serving children and teens with a disability and their families. Our team will be serving at one of their Family Retreats this summer at Spruce Lake Camp.
Students may serve as a one-on-one companion to a child with a disability during the week where their job will be to be a friend to the Kid they are paired up with, giving the gift of their time and love. Students may also serve in a program area assisting with art, recreation, music or other activities. Together with the child they are serving, students will also enjoy a wide variety of Family Retreat activities – from swimming, boating, and water-skiing, to horseback riding, hiking, zip lines and climbing walls.
Through the simplicity of our student’s service we will have the opportunity to build relationships with children and their families and demonstrate the love of Jesus in powerful ways.
Check out “A Day in the life of a STM” for more details on what we will be doing!

HS Fellowship Trip – A Closer Walk
August 3-5, 2015, Cost: $100
This has become a favorite among our High School students as we travel to Wildwood NJ, to camp on the beach and enjoy the speakers and worship bands as part of this exciting Christian Festival. In addition to the terrific program time students also get to enjoy all access wristbands for the water park, and boardwalk rides during the day.
CAST Jr High Mission Trip – ServeFest
August 13-16, 2017, Cost: $100
We are excited to introduce this new mission experience to our Jr Students. Our team will serve various ministries in our local area while learning more about how our service connects with our faith. We are excited about the ways that this will allow us to connect families and the rest of our congregation with our mission trip experience. Our hope is that students would gain a better understanding of some of the needs in our own area and organizations working to meet those need and that students would identify ways that they could continue to put their faith into action through serving after the trip.
Jr High Fellowship Trip – On The Edge at Camp Ligonier
July 23-27, 2017, Cost: $350
On The Edge is an outdoor adventure summer camp designed for youth groups. Most summer camp experiences students will go on their own, have a great time, grow in profound ways, but then it is difficult to transition those relationships and experiences back to real life. OTE is great because we get to experience those things together as a youth group. As students are stepping out of their comfort zone, or growing in their faith through worship or the powerful speakers, their CAST friends and leaders will be right there with them allowing them to bring those experiences back home.
Some of the Activities that our group may participate in: Low Ropes Courses, Pamper Jump, Flying Squirrel, 1,000’ Dual Zip Line, The Vomit Comet, Mountain Biking & Boarding, Laser Tag, Tubing & Swimming on the lake, Caving, Pool Bash & Cook Out, Club – a high-energy praise meeting with the hundreds of campers, and The Luge-a HUGE slip & slide down a mountain.
