“WEIRD – Because Normal Isn’t Working”

During our Lenten Series we will use the book “Weird” written by Craig Groeschl. In his book, Groeschl challenges us to jump off the normal path and onto one that my seem a little weird. At times you may argue, “that’s just too weird!” But this book talks about dramatic changes. Let’s face it, if small changes would’ve made the difference, you’d have made them a long time ago.

You certainly don’t have to agree with all Groeschl’s ideas. But you probably won’t deny that the way normal people live today is miles away from what God intended. Separating ourselves from what the world considers normal is not just a matter of obedience. God invites us to dance to a different tune, because he knows what’s truly going to satisfy and fulfill us.

Instead of living stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted, you can live a life of meaningful relationships, intentional scheduling, and deep, fulfilling rest for your soul. Instead of choking with the constant financial fear and tension, you can let God’s Word lead you along a path to financial peace, margin, and eternal investments. Instead of allowing your marriage to drift into parallel lives or divorce by default, you can experience true intimacy with your spouse.

The price for dinner if paid in advance will be $7.00 for Adults, $4.00 for children under 12 and $16 for a family. At the door the price will be $10.00 for adults and $20.00 for a family.

As always, children are welcome for the entire evening. During worship and the adult small group time which follows, the children will meet in the Creation Room for their own study.

The Junior and Senior Highs are also included in this great study. They will attend worship from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. After the worship time, the Junior Highs will meet in the Haven and the Senior Highs will meet in the River for their time of study. Both Fellowship groups will end at their regular times.
