Go and serve is a way of living. Sometimes we think about serving in these grandiose terms; we think about those who live a life of service like missionaries, pastors, first responder, healthcare workers and others whose professions involve serving others. And yet, God calls us all to this way of life.

In fact, we’re called to serve through every aspect of our lives. In other words, the very first place to live out the reality of go and serve is right in our own home. And it’s in our work, in our school, in our relationships, and yes, in our church.

At PCTR, that starts by understanding our gifts and our passions. How can we use those talents and skills God has gifted us with to serve others? How can we use our hobbies and interest to help others connect to full life in Jesus?

Here’s what that might look like: Music is your passion. You sing or hum (a little off-key sometimes, but that’s okay) in the car, in the shower, and through every other aspect of your day. Maybe you dabble with drums, guitar and/or the triangle. Sound familiar? You may find a home within PCTR’s music ministry with the choir, praise team, or handbells. Maybe you’re not ready for a full year commitment yet but singing in one of Ocean Classic Concerts choral performances is right up your alley.

Or maybe you’re passionate about sharing the Gospel with the next generation. Maybe you’re gifted at hospitality, and you feel called to use those skills to warmly greet people on a weekend or to host a repast reception after a memorial service. Maybe you have a knack for technology or photography and you’d be right at home as part of our production crew and media teams. Maybe you are passionate about the power of prayer and you find a home on our prayer team. That’s just a few examples of the way we serve each other through the church. If you are ready to go and serve through PCTR, call the church office at 732-349-1331 or fill out our contact form for more information. We’ll help you connect with our ministry leaders and opportunities to serve.
