January 7, 2020 – February 11, 2020
Six Sessions on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. in the Mission Room

Prayer is the force that binds believers together, and when God’s people unite and call on his name, powerful things happen in our world.

God’s throne of grace. It is not a physical location you can visit, but the promises you read about it in the Bible are so immense that they are almost beyond belief. And as Hebrews 4:16 states, you can always “approach God’s throne of grace with confidence,” knowing that you will “receive mercy and find grace” to help you in your time of need.

In this six-session video-based Bible study Pastor Jim Cymbala explores how God promises in his Word to always hear you, answer you, and extend his mercy when you come to him. As you pray with faith, he will provide his perfect peace and “meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory” (Philippians 4:19). You will find that approaching God’s throne of grace will change your life and circumstances like nothing else—and that when you and other believers call on his name, powerful things happen in the world!

Featuring teachings by Jim Cymbala and interviews with ordinary people who received extraordinary answers to their prayers, this study will show how prayer can completely transform your life.

Sessions include:

· The Throne of Grace

· Receiving Mercy

· Perfect Peace from God

· Praying with Faith

· God Brings the Answer

· The Church that Prays Together

Galatians

Written by the Apostle Paul this letter to the Galatians includes the origin of the gospel, justification by faith, not by works of the law, the nature and role of the law, the freedom of the believer, the gift of the Spirit, the ongoing struggle between the flesh and the Spirit in the life of the believer, and the Christian ethics that include love, walking in the Spirit and producing the Spirit’s fruit.

Everyone is welcomed to join us
as we take a deeper look at this letter from Paul
(the focus of the sermons during Lent)

What would it mean to consider the Ten Commandments not as a harsh list of what not to do but, instead, as a “love letter” from a loving God? Our Presbyterian Women (PW) Circles will be exploring that question through-out the year as part of this year’s study: “Love Carved In Stone.”  All women of the church are members of the Presbyterian Women Association and are heartily welcome to attend all events. We invite you to join one of our nine Circles for study and prayer.

“4P” Men’s Discipleship Training seeks to develop Christian leaders and to build lasting friendships among 3-4 other men who commit to personal growth and Christian discipleship. Each group will examine what it means to have a personal progressive commitment

  • to Jesus Christ
  • to Yourself
  • to Relationships
  • to the work of Christ in the world.

The 4P Discipleship Training is intended to respond to the Great Commission: “Make disciples of all men.”

For information and/or questions please contact Bill Pabst at (732) 270-5878 or by email to  [email protected]

Throughout the year, we will host four Book Discussions on Sundays. Everyone is welcome! Click here for our current schedule: Book Discussion Schedule.

Join us at these “hands-on” events where we can share our stories through the things we create – and spend time with and swap ideas with other people who share our passion! Everyone is welcome – no experience needed – supplies provided.  Join us for a great time of learning and sharing!
