“Uninvited” – Thursday Evening Women’s Bible Study & Prayer Group
Meeting first and third Thursday evenings each month 6:30 p.m. in the Mission Room
Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely by Lysa Terkeurst
The enemy wants us to feel rejected . . . left out, lonely, and less than. In Uninvited, Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences of rejection from the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over to the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father. She leans in to honestly examine the roots of rejection, as well as rejection’s ability to poison relationships from the inside out, including our relationship with God.
With biblical depth, gut honest vulnerability, and refreshing wit, Lysa will help you:
Stop feeling left out by believing that even when you are overlooked by others you are handpicked by God.
- Change your tendency to either fall apart or control the actions of others by embracing God honoring ways to process your hurt.
- Know exactly what to pray for the next ten days to steady your soul and restore your confidence in the midst of rejection.
- Overcome the two core fears that feed your insecurities by understanding the secret of belonging.
This Women’s group will focus on keeping each other in prayer. It is a Bible study support group with an emphasis on praying for each other.
All women are welcome!
What would it mean to consider the Ten Commandments not as a harsh list of what not to do but, instead, as a “love letter” from a loving God? Our Presbyterian Women (PW) Circles will be exploring that question through-out the year as part of this year’s study: “Love Carved In Stone.” All women of the church are members of the Presbyterian Women Association and are heartily welcome to attend all events. We invite you to join one of our nine Circles for study and prayer.
