DESCRIPTION:Water is not just for drinking…Eradicating poverty takes access to food\, health\, education\, and economic opportunity.But it all starts with water. \n\n\n\nThat’s why PCTR is walking in this year’s Villages in Partnership (VIP) Water Walk. VIP is a development organization that works in the rural villages of Malawi\, Africa\, partnering with 29 villages and impacting over 24\,000 lives. Malawi is one of the poorest countries on earth\, with over half the population living on less than $2 dollars a day. Yet they have a rich culture and deep hospitality that have earned Malawi the nickname of “The Warm Heart of Africa.” You can learn more about VIP and why we’re walking in support of them here: Villages in Partnership.Want to help us help VIP? There are two ways to support the effort: \n\n\n\n\nJoin our walk team! You can register here to be part of the PCTR Water Walkers team and walk with us! Raise funds\, log your steps and miles\, walk with us at one of the options listed below. Visit our team page and click “Join my team” on the right side of the page.\n\nWhen prompted to join a team\, select “PCTR Water Walkers”\n\n\n\nSet-up your page and start asking your friends and family for donations!\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you’re unable to walk with us\, consider donating to the team. You can do that on our team page as well by clicking “Donate” You can also opt to support an individual walker and help them reach their fundraising goal. They’re listed on the team page as well.\n\n\n\n\nThere are two opportunities to walk with us:  \n\n\n\nAWARENESS WALK AT PCTR\n\n\n\nAPRIL 28TH AT ABOUT 11:45AM\n\n\n\nWe’ll be walking a 2 1/2 mile route leaving from PCTR’s lot. You’ll have the opportunity to do the walk carrying a jug of water. Register to walk with PCTR Water Walkers through the site above\, log your ‘virtual miles’ walked and raise funds to support the work of our mission partner VIP. \n\n\n\nVIP’S WATER WALK IN ALLENTOWN\, NJ\n\n\n\nMAY 4\, 4:30 PM \n\n\n\nJoin other Water Walk teams in Allentown\, NJ. We’ll be walking together\, worshiping and celebrating the success of the fundraiser\, learning more about VIP and their partner villages in Malawi\, and sharing a meal.  \n\n\n\nVIRTUAL WALK\n\n\n\nCan’t make either?
