Join us on June 30th from 7-8:30 pm for our Gift of Life seminar to learn more about organ donation, how to sign up to be a donor, what’s expected, how it works, and how it might help others with potentially life threatening conditions. This important topic is the first in our “Every Day Living” series of workshops.

We have a unique opportunity for you to join a boisterous group of voices, singing a song you may already know without having to carve an extra day out of your schedule for rehearsal! Join us 9 am on Sunday, July 5th to warm-up and rehearse, then sing “O Beautiful for Spacious Skies” with us in worship while the offering is being collected. That’s it. It takes a lot of volunteers to take a big group of kids to a rainforest (even if it is in our own building!) Are you one of those VBS Volunteers? Volunteer registration is now open for this year's July 6-10 Vacation Bible School. Roles include crew leaders/helpers, Station helpers, behind the scenes preparations, and more. Registration is at pctr.org/vbsvolunteer. Please note, there will be two orientation/training dates held in May. You must attend at least one of them: May 9 at 11 am or May 7 at 7 pm

Join us July 6-10, 2026 (9am - 12 pm) as we step through the mist into Rainforest Falls VBS, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids will plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering the nature of God. They’ll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, their creator, a safe place in life’s storms. Kids who have completed a year of PreK3 - 5th grade are welcome. Students going into Grades 6-12, let’s grab a bite for lunch! We’ll be heading out some place different after VBS each day - and you can join us whether you’re volunteering at VBS or not! Bring money for a meal and arrange a ride to and from each venue. Monday - Playa Bowls, Tuesday - Chipotle (Rt 37 Location), Wednesday - Freddy’s, Thursday - Panera, and Friday - Pizza at PCTR

Our July Special Needs Ministry Friday gathering will be a little different than usual (Weather permitting.) We’ll meet up at the Field of Dreams (1505 N Bay Ave, Toms River) for pizza and fun. Due to this July event being off-site, we ask parents/guardians to stay for the evening. The August gathering will return to Fellowship Hall at PCTR.

All hands on deck to make this year’s Churchwide Summer Celebration a fun and engaging event! We’ll have music, inflatables, games and more! Volunteers are needed for set-up, facilitating and hosting activity stations and clean-up. Sign-up at pctr.org/summervolunteer or in the Welcome Center.

Let’s enjoy a summer afternoon together on July 12 after worship (about 11:45 am) at Summer Celebration. There will be a little something for everyone including good food, fun games, and great company!

What does it mean to be a member at PCTR? Find out at our next new member gathering. At the end of this 2-part class (Wednesdays, July 15 & 22, 6-8pm), you’ll have the opportunity to join the church as a member. Dinner will be served. You can sign up at pctr.org/newmember

Whether you sing every week in a choir or only sing in the shower, Summer Choir is for you! We will hold one rehearsal on July 16 and have four opportunities to sing. We’re singing in worship on July 19, July 26, August 2 and August 9. Sing as many weekends as you can--one or all!

Let’s go to the movies and pretend it’s cooler outside than it probably is! Presbyterian Women is sponsoring this fun and festive event for all ages on July 19, 1 - 4pm. Movie snacks will accompany a special viewing of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” and we’re told a special guest (Santa and the elves!) are expected to attend! Bring your family, your friends, and your neighbor!

Hey, Next Gen Kids, come on over for breakfast on July 30 at 9:30am. Bring a favorite adult or two, your brother & sister, and your friends! We’ll have something good to eat, play some fun games, and make some crafts. It’s like VBS with bagels and family for one morning!

Casual gatherings over good food are a great way to get to know one another better. We’re planning a series of relaxing and casual backyard BBQs! Get to know your PCTR family better by joining in on the fun. Sign ups open after July 1 at pctr.org/bbq or in the Welcome Center. Sign up to host a BBQ or to be a guest at a BBQ.

Baptism, one of two sacraments in our reformed tradition, is the sign and seal of God’s grace and our response to it. On August 9 at 5:30pm, we will have a unique opportunity on the beach in Seaside Park for those wishing to be baptized or to reaffirm their baptism. Bring a towel (you will be in the ocean & getting wet!) and a chair, if you’d like one. Be part of the PCTR crew at Shoretown Ballpark on August 27 at 7pm for a fun night of baseball as the Blue Claws take on the Wilmington Blue Rocks.
