About Us
As a large church, you will find a great diversity of beliefs among our members and those who attend our church. However, as a Presbyterian church, we find the roots of our faith in the Reformed Tradition and we work out the details of our faith in connection with each other looking foremost to the authority of God’s Word to us revealed in scripture. Knowing God
Growing Together
Living the Gospel
YOUTH MINISTRY
Today, youth are busier than ever! They are involved in school, work, sports, clubs, and home. In the craziness of life, PCTR provides a home where you are accepted, loved and can be renewed to face the challenges of life.
CHILDRENS MINISTRY
Children are a vital part of our ministry at PCTR. We take great joy in supporting your efforts as parents/guardians as you walk with your children on your family’s faith journey.
ADULT DISCIPLESHIP
Our Adult Discipleship groups offer a place to ask faith questions and seek God’s guidance as we live both in this world and in God’s kingdom.
MUSIC MINISTRY
PCTR’s vocal and bell choirs give members many opportunities to live out the command from Psalm 100, joining together to make a joyful noise to the Lord. No matter your age, musical ability, or schedule, there is a place for you in the music ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River.
CARING MINISTRY
At PCTR, we are committed to caring for and loving the people the Lord brings to us. The foundation of our Caring Ministries is based on the unconditional and sacrificial love demonstrated to us in Jesus Christ which motivates us to share that kind of love with others.
SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY
PCTR strives to create an environment that is welcoming and safe for ALL of God’s children – regardless of special needs and disabilities. We seek to give these children access to the opportunities that other members of our church family enjoy. We also desire to be a support system and a haven for those who care for loved ones with special needs and disabilities.

I love this church. I personally like attending the Saturday night or Sunday morning contemporary services. I find them invigorating and motivating. I have been coming here on and off since I was a little girl but, never before have I felt so at home, and accepted as I do right now. In the past eight months, I have grown so much spiritually. I have gained so much insight and sense of peace knowing God and that there is a greater purpose for all mankind that I never knew existed! I love Pastor Robbie, his family, and our congregation. This is a great church. Come check us out! We are PCTR!

I love this church! I have been a part of The Presbyterian Church of Toms River since 1997. It is a truly uplifting, supportive community of people. There are so many opportunities available for everyone to learn, grow, serve and come together in Christ in an environment that is comfortable and welcoming. Senior Pastor Robbie is leading the congregation to an even richer and deeper life of faith.

I have never felt more at ease at a place where I new only a few people. I was made to feel that I mattered and never was made to feel left out. I met a lot of really good people who value God like I do and want to show their thanks in the same ways.

Amazing pastor and people

Loving, kind, and welcoming to everyone. Also a wonderful ministry for children

I grew up in this Church and now I am and have been for years a Sunday school teacher. I think that the programs and services offered for children is Absolutely!! the best. The program geared to kids with special needs is heartwarming. The church, although large, feels like a family! I look forward to seeing all my kids that I have taught and other members and teachers every week. There is a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere. I also love the community services that our church provides. I will be teaching for many years to come to hopefully one day do even more with the children’s programs.

Sermons
There are several reasons why you may want to listen to a particular sermon outside of the worship service. Maybe you were unable to join us for worship. Maybe God was using a particular message to reach you personally and you want to hear it again. Maybe you’ve not yet had the chance to join us in person, but you’re curious about us. Or maybe it’s something else entirely. Whatever the reason, we invite you listen to our weekly podcast.
