There’s a lot of work that goes into getting things VBS ready around here and we’re looking for “Behind the Scenes” helpers to assist in pulling it all together. There are decorations to make, snacks to pack, crafts to prep, name tags to make, and so much more. That’s why we have scheduled a series of work days this summer to get it all pulled together. Come to as many as you can. June 28 at 9 am, July 17 at 6:30 pm, and July 30 at 1 pm.
If you’ve got an excess collection of reusable shopping bags, help us support Pop the Trunk by building up their stock of bags! Each week, Pop the Trunk, a drive-through food pantry in our parking lot on Friday mornings, gives 3-4 bags of food per household to hundreds of households. They’re in need of bags to keep up with the demand. Bring them in to the Welcome Center any time between now and June 15.

Lace up your walking shoes and join our team for Villages in Partnership’s Water Walk. Our team, the PCTR Water Walkers, is aiming to raise at least $2000 in support of VIP’s work in Malawi. There are 123 honored guests, plus their families, buddies, and an assortment of other volunteers headed our way on February 7th for Night to Shine, a prom for individuals with special needs sponsored by the Tim Tebow foundation. We need YOUR help in getting our spaces prom ready for them! Join us after worship on February 2 (about 12 pm) to start decorating and transforming our rooms into a spectacular winter wonderland! Join us on January 25 at 11 am for presentation from NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking to learn more about the growing problem of human trafficking in our state. This is part of our Deacons efforts to better understand the problem and consider how God may be calling us to serve those at risk.
Our Special Needs Ministry Teen & Young Adult Group meets regularly on the 2nd Friday of each month. On January 10, come ready to stretch and learn some basic martial arts moves with our friend Mr. Jason. Volunteers are encouraged to join us and share in the fun!
Grab a tag off the Giving Tree in the Welcome Center and buy the gift card listed on it to help us help our mission partners! Donated gift cards (returned no later than 12/15) will be distributed to those in need by The Hope Center and Urban Promise.
